  • TIP #1
    SHARE A COMMON GOAL!

Groups with a fundraising goal are most successful such as shade areas for schools/ pre schools, computers, books for the library, staff Christmas parties, sports trips, uniforms, equipment, air conditioning etc. The list is endless but make sure that all participants know the specific reason why the money is being raised!

    How it works

Fundraising groups with access to 150 or more people (including friends and family of members) can raise money by participating in organised taste tests.

    The ‘Step-by-Step’ approach:

    STEP 0 - Group Registration
You will receive a registration form for you to complete. This is a simple, 1 page form asking a few questions about the age and gender breakdown of your members, as well as a few specific questions about the group itself.

    STEP 1 – The Offer
We will contact you to discuss a potential Project for your Group. At this point we will indicate timings and ask if this fits in with your availability.

STEP 2 – The Selection Process
We will then send you a number of ‘Pre-selection Forms, which we ask you to distribute to your group members, as well as friends and family (basically, anyone you know!)

    STEP 3 – Pre-Selection Form Processes
You need to return the completed pre-selection forms within the agreed time period – this is usually in a pre-paid satchel we provide, or via online.

    STEP 4 – Qualifying Consumers
From the pre-selection forms your Group has completed and returned, we select the necessary number of people who qualify for the testing (this may be all of those who qualify, or only a selection, based on our overall Project requirements). Qualification for Projects is governed by the strict guidelines and specifications set by our clients in regards age, gender, taste preferences and consumption habits.

An example of how the Pre-Selection process and qualifying criteria work is:

    a) You begin by sending 300 Questionnaires to Group members and their friends and family.

    b) Of the 300, 250 are returned, completed.

    c) Of these 250 completed Questionnaires, 160 people ‘qualify’ for the Project.

    d) From these 160 who qualify, only 100 are available for the specific session time and date.

    e) Of this 100, only 95 show up on the night (you can expect an approximate 5% ‘no show’ to all Projects)

*These figures are based on records of all of the Projects we have recruited through Groups over the past 4 years. However, they are purely indicative and should not be taken as exact.

STEP 5 – Testing Location and Session Times
Once we have communicated with you the names of all of the people who qualify for the Project, we will need to arrange mutually agreed venue and time(s) for the taste testing sessions to take place.

    STEP 6 – Communication
When all of the details for the testing sessions have been agreed and confirmed, we ask that you and your committee/helpers contact all of your Group members who we have qualified for the Project, and seek their commitment to attend.
